Built on Nissan’s “D” platform, the 2008 Altima Sedan comes with a choice of the award-winning VQ-series 3.5-liter V-6 or the powerful 2.5-liter Inline-4 cylinder and 6-speed manual or Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) transmissions.

Body and Styling

The 2008 Altima Sedan offers dramatic exterior styling and a comfortable well-equipped interior. It also offers a long list of technology features, including standard intelligent key with push start ignition, available Bluetooth hands-free phone system, rear view monitor, and an advanced touch-screen navigation system.

The Altima Sedan is available in three trims: 2.5 S, 3.5 SE, and 3.5 SL. The base 2.5S comes with 16-inch wheels, full power accessories, air-conditioning, a CD player, an MP3 input jack, a trip computer, and intermittent wipers. The 3.5 SE sports 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, power-folding side-view mirrors with integral turn signals, a power driver seat, wood-tone accents, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The 3.5 SL comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, leather seating, Bluetooth connectivity, a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, xenon HID headlights, and more.

Safety Features

The 2008 Nissan Altima comes with a raft of safety features which includes front-seat side airbags, full-length side-curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, and so on. The Altima sedan earned a five-star rating for its protection of front occupants in frontal and side impacts in NHTSA crash tests.
